If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d be raising mini Highland cows in the Pacific Northwest, I would’ve laughed and sipped my Diet Coke. But here we are—living on a few dreamy acres in Cle Elum, WA, with my husband, four kids, a couple of horses, and the fluffiest little herd ever.
When I first looked into mini Highlanders, I was obsessed—but also totally overwhelmed. Could I actually do this? How much space did I need? Was this crazy? Finding answers was harder than it should’ve been.

MEET the HERD
Rolo thinks he runs the place, but deep down, he’s just a big softie. He loves tossing things around with his horns and definitely wants to be the center of attention.
the (Fake) Boss

Sweet as her name, loves chin scratches and brushing sessions, but don’t be fooled—she’s the big sister of the bunch. First to the food, first to push Pepper out of the way, and always in charge.
The Queen Bee

Timid, shy, and would rather vibe alone… unless snacks are involved. Treats = the way to her heart. She’ll come by for scratches and snuggles, but only if there’s a reward involved.
